Prepare Your Quilt Top

To ensure even shrinkage of finished quilt, pre-wash backings if quilt top fabric was pre-washed. Do not wash an un-quilted top.

Ensure quilt top is well-pressed and free of any loose threads and check the quilt top is square.

Quilt should be clean and free of any stains or odors.

Make sure seam allowances are consistent and secure.

Check that seams are well-stitched and not likely to unravel.

If there is no border, ensure the edges are staystitched.

Please label top of quilt. Include your first and last name on the quilt top (post-it note with pin).

If pieced, backings need to have straight edges.

Backing should be minimum of 6” larger on EACH side (if quilt is 60”x60”, backing fabric should be 72”x72”).

Please label top of backing. Include your first and last name on backing (post-it note with pin).

Customer may provide their own high-quality batting, or order through us. Quilters Dream and Hobbs are preferred.

Batting size should be same size as the backing.

Please use unscented bags when sending your quilt.

Shipping Guidelines

Fold your quilt neatly and place in a sturdy and adequate-sized shipping box. For added protection, consider using plastic wrap or a protective layer inside the box.

Enclose a note with your contact information (phone number and email)  and ensure your information is easily visible on both inside and the outside of the shipping box.

Use a reliable shipping carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS) that offers tracking services. This allows both you and us to monitor the package’s journey.

Please choose a shipping method that includes tracking and insurance to protect against any potential loss or damage.

Shipping Costs: Shipping costs for sending your quilt to us and returning it to you are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise agreed upon.
